Bayside, NY — August 20, 2026 Korean Community Services (KCS) has received a Certificate of Recognition from the City of New York in celebration of NYC Nonprofit Week. The certificate acknowledges KCS's continued dedication to strengthening communities and providing essential resources and services to residents across all five boroughs.

Signed by New York City official Zohran Kwame Mamdani, the certificate recognizes KCS's ongoing commitment to community development and its efforts to create meaningful opportunities and support for local residents.

KCS extends its deep gratitude to the NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC) for its longstanding partnership with the KCS Workforce Development Department. Over the past five years, this collaboration has helped promote civic engagement while connecting community members with valuable opportunities, resources, and support.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sarah Sayeed, Executive Director of the CEC, and Anila Cobo, Director of Voter Language Services at the CEC, for visiting KCS in person and sharing their encouragement and support for our work.

As we look ahead, KCS remains committed to building a healthier, stronger, and more vibrant community. Through programs and services in workforce development, arts and culture, education, and more, we will continue working to meet the evolving needs of communities throughout New York City.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our staff, partners, volunteers, and community members who make this work possible.
