Meet Your Instructor: Rosa Son moved to the United States when she was 8 years old, but continues to value her Korean heritage through cooking. Currently living in Bergen County, New Jersey, she lives with her wonderful husband and three amazing children, making good homemade meals and seeing her family enjoy the food makes her happy. Rosa likes to spend her time testing and tweaking recipes to make them tasty and easy to follow. Lately, she has been diving into making charcuterie boards and boxes and has created an Instagram page dedicated to cheeseboards. You can find her creations on her personal Instagram and charcuterie account.

Note: If you are signing up for multiple sessions, please make sure to register for each session individually.

EventBrite RSVP:

KCS is proud to present our 2022 Boricha House, a June afternoon of live music and refreshments that highlights the musical and other talents of the Korean American and wider Asian American communities. Inspired by local coffeehouse live music venues, this event is open to the public to come hear acoustic musical performances and other talents.

Boricha House is a showcase of the musical talents from artists within the Korean and wider Asian community in NYC. By providing a new opportunity for these artists to perform live, we hope that the wider NYC community becomes aware of the talents within our diaspora.

Coffee beverages and baked goods are provided FREE for attendees. Please RSVP so that we are able to track the number of attendees.

We are partnering with Photographer Janice Chung and capture the history and endurance of Korean small-business owners in the Flushing area.

This project will provide to everyone a virtual photo exhibition through a website of the businesses that Janice Chung photographed and the stories behind their journey. Select businesses will have their photographs exhibited in their storefront windows, offering a gallery walk through Flushing to see and experience the history of Korean American community.

You can find the exhibit here:
