Social
Engagement

KCS endeavors to provide for the most vulnerable and neglected members of our community primarily Seniors and Children. We work to alleviate the hardships and isolation that many immigrants endure by providing a pathway for integration, support, and autonomy through dedicated and culturally competent services provided at our Neighborhood Senior Centers in Flushing and Corona, as well as at our Adult Day Care Center in Bayside. Furthermore, we strive to instill values of service, integrity, self-reliance, and cultural awareness for students of all generations through our Education and Youth programs.

Volunteer

KCS envisions strengthening the growth of services and filling in the gaps in service delivery by utilizing and training volunteers to support the Korean immigrant community.

KCS offers many programs that embodies our organization’s wide-range of different social services, covering the areas of Aging, Community, Workforce Development and Public Health at our six different locations. We are always grateful for volunteers from all different fields to help us at our senior centers, health fairs, after-school and Saturday school programs, job training/workforce development programs, and adult literacy classes.

KCS offers incredible opportunities for students and regular community members to volunteer for our programs to not only contribute their time and skills for the greater community, but also develop professional and career-building skills.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the Google Form below to give us an idea of your skill-sets/interests so we can find a role ideal for you! Feel free to call our main office at 718-939-6137 or email skoppalakonda@kcsny.org, with any questions or concerns!
