YASP(청년 봉사 프로그램)는 아시아계 미국인 태평양 섬 주민(AAPI) 고등학생 및 대학생들을 뉴욕시 전역의 다양한 지역 사회 단체 및 지역 선출직 공무원 사무실에서 인턴십을 통해 연결해 줍니다. 코리아 타임스와 공동 주최하는 YASP는 2001년 부터 AAPI 청소년들에게 지역 사회에 봉사하고 봉사의 중요성을 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공해 왔습니다.

Must be an AAPI-identifying high school or college student whose school and/or home address is within New York City (five boroughs). High school students must be a sophomore or above as of fall 2026, and college students must be a freshman or above as of Fall 2026. Please note that AAPI stands for Asian American Pacific Islander.
The official start date for college and high school interns is Monday, June 29th, 2026, and the official end date is Friday, August 14th, 2026.
High school and college interns must work at least 15 hours per week. You will be able to set your schedule with your host site supervisor.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email and have an interview date. Please allow up to three (3) business days for us to respond.
Interviews with the YASP team will be conducted remotely via Zoom. However, additional interviews with the host site may be required depending on your placement and could occur either in person or remotely.
Yes, orientation and graduation are mandatory for all interns. Orientation is on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, and graduation is on Friday, August 14th, 2026. Times and locations are to be announced at a later date.
All interns must attend orientation, enrichment sessions, and graduation.

No, you do not need to be either. However, these requirements will apply if you want to receive the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) and Certificate of Recognition (Mayoral Service Recognition Program).
Eligibility for the Certificate of Recognition (Mayoral Service Recognition Program) depends on meeting the required volunteer hours and other specific criteria.
