The Public Health Program of Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (KCS) strives to continue in our role as a facilitator for public health awareness, improvements in community health and the delivery of health services, and education about effective disease prevention within the Korean American communities of metropolitan New York.

Founded more than a decade ago, the KCS Public Health Program has garnered support from many community and government agencies, including the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the National Asian American Immunization Project, the New York Immigration Coalition, and the Center for Immigrant Health.

The Public Health Program of KCS offers a variety of services and programs, including Hepatitis B screenings and vaccinations through the Asian American Hepatitis B Program, collaborating with the New York Immigration Coalition to raise awareness regarding immigrant issues in healthcare, and educating clients through the Managed Care Consumer Assistance Program, the Health Care Access Program, and the Medicaid Choice Education Project. Previous KCS endeavors in public health include the Hepatitis B Preventive Education Project, the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Education Program, and the Tobacco Not Tolerated Project. Our services and programs provide valuable services to the Korean American communities of New York, as well as important contributions to the medical community.
