Assisting immigrants to become US citizens (N-400, N-600) is a great help for immigrants. Most immigrants face many challenges including the language barrier, low income, and lack of knowledge regarding obtaining US citizenship.
KCS interviews English and Korean-speaking immigrants, explain the citizenship application process and answer questions, and determine the immigrants' eligibility for naturalization, disability waivers, and fee waivers. In compliance with Immigration and Naturalization Service regulations, KCS completes citizenship applications and obtain necessary documents. We also advocate on behalf of applicants with the Immigration and Naturalization Services and assist the public at our multiple locations, community based organizations, and churches through direct outreach. Diverse ranges of ethnicities have been served and will continue to be served in all five boroughs in New York City.

Program Activities: in FY 2007, this program serves over 5,000 individuals and. Changes in the application process reduced in faster turnaround time and, consequently, more applicants for KCS to help:
