The KCS Adult Day Care Center was established for seniors with physical or mental disabilities but want to stay in the community. The center provides various activities such as dancing, singing, origami, physical exercise and recreation. Joining the KSC Adult Day Care Center will ehlp seniors have a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Starting May 2006, the Adult Day Care Center is the newest aging program in KSC and was one of the first to take residence in the new community center. Based on the social model, the ADCC has two aims:
- To provide isolated seniors an opportunity to get out of the house and recieve both mental and social stimulation
- To give caregivers a much-needed break in which to attend to personal needs, or simply rest and relax
The ADCC provides seniors over the age of 55 with mental or physical disabilities the opportunity to make new friends and engage in recreational activities. The daily average numbers of participants are 17.
Working with Comprehensive Care Management (CCM) and with support from participant's caregivers, ADCC provides:
-Hot Congregate Breakfast and Lunch (Korean ethnic food)
-Recreational Acrivities: Origami, Handcraft, Drawing, Singing, and Dancing
-Personal Hygiene
-Physical Exercise
