Accepting the inevitable ends and fatal illnesses constantly haunting us, four years have passed since vices to better serve the society. Registered as a nonprofit organization in the federal and state government, Korean Mutual Aid Society (KMAS) has been working diligently in various areas, such as providing medical assistance and mutual assistance meetings, making reparations of the funerals including burial site visits, and providing useful information and Basic English in its periodical bulletin. More than 2,000 copies of Health Care Proxy have been disseminated. In order to maintain a positive relationship among its members, KMAS has provided various other useful services, such as visiting museums, including Botanical Gardens, and folk villages.
Many guests were invited to visit possible burial sites to better educated themselves and prepare their funerals and also to answer various questions. Despite its small scope, KMAS is proud of publishing its own periodical newsletters every month. KMAS shall continue to provide its services and it will continue to seek other various needs of the society to serve. |
