During FY 2014…

  • 35, 150 well-balanced meals were served to seniors on a daily basis
  • 927 seniors participated in educational or recreational activities
  • 1,810 seniors received culturally and linguistically appropriate case assistance for seniors applying for public benefits and other services
  • 2,713 seniors participated in health management and promotion activities such as check-ups, physical exercise, and health management and nutrition classes
  • 2,035 seniors received information or referrals from KCS to partner agencies for further assistance
  • 30,906 balanced, freshly cooked meals were delivered to homebound seniors throughout Queens Community Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 as part of the only ethnic homebound meals delivery program in Queens
